Why brand shelves beat keyword lists
A brand shelf lets you compare proportion inside one design language. A keyword list mixes eight labels and no measurements.
Same label, same shapes
Comparing a B23 to another B23 is useful. Comparing a B23 to a runner is not.
Category context
Each product card states its category, so you can jump to the shelf that explains that construction.
Batch clarity
Two entries with the same model name are two batches until the seller says otherwise.
How to compare two batches inside one brand
Same label, same silhouette, different factory. Four checks do most of the work.
Proportion first
Toe height, midsole thickness and heel angle survive a bad photo better than colour does. Compare those before anything else.
Then materials
Ask for grain, weave or coating close-ups at raking light. Studio light flatters every material equally.
Then measurements
Insole in centimetres, chest width flat, strap drop. Numbers are the only part of a listing that cannot be staged.
Then the batch
Two entries with the same model name are two productions runs until the seller says otherwise. Ask which one ships.
A brand shelf is useful precisely because it keeps the comparison honest: the silhouette is the same, so the differences you see are batch differences rather than design differences. That is why every brand page on this index links to the same measurement prompts and the same QC checklist instead of inventing new ones per label.
